Sophie’s Bio

Sophie Brunet studied Studio Arts at Concordia University in Montreal, participating in a thriving artist’s community and working for several professional painters and sculptors which sustained and nurtured her passion for art. She then painted and exhibitted through-out North America, explored the artist’s scene in Europe and worked as a Scenic Painter for film and theatre. As she discovered a passion for alternative healing and the mind/body/soul connection, she was also drawn to explore the field of Art Therapy.

Sophie relocated to the West Coast where she studied at the Kutenai Art Therapy Institute in Nelson, BC and completed her DVATI degree at the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute.

Sophie currently has a private practice in Art Therapy in Squamish and Vancouver, facilitates a number of creativity workshops, works as an art therapist with first nations children thoughout the Squamish school system and paints with passion on a regular basis.
